Veneto camping can pair a practical mainland pitch with Venice’s lagoon landscape and cultural sites. This guide uses Campalto as a base, leaving the camping vehicle behind for the historic city.

Veneto camping: nature and outdoor visits
Visit Parco San Giuliano for a mainland green-space outing with lagoon scenery. Choose a short public path, check weather and take water; this is a daytime park visit, not an overnight pitch recommendation.
Established camping and published rates
Camping Rialto Village, Via Orlanda 16, Campalto, welcomes tents and touring vehicles. Its operator-supplied 2026 tariff lists €27 low season or €35 high season for camper, caravan plus car, or tent plus car with up to two people. High season includes 1 July–30 August and specified holiday periods; low season includes 31 August–5 November. Tourist tax and an ecological contribution are extra. Confirm electricity, sanitation, season and your complete total before booking.
Free camping and permission
No specific free overnight campsite was verified for this itinerary. Use the established paid option above or confirm a designated alternative with its manager and local authorities. A beach, picnic spot, trailhead or ordinary car park is not proof of camping permission. Check local signs, protected-area rules and vehicle restrictions before stopping.
Culture and heritage
Plan a separate visit to Palazzo Ducale and Venice’s historic centre. Check museum tickets and any current visitor access requirements for your travel dates.
Where to eat
Da Nonna Tecla, the campsite’s trattoria-bar-pizzeria in Campalto, offers Italian specialities. Check current service times and reservations before planning dinner.
Practical Veneto camping information
Campalto to Venice’s road terminal is roughly 10 km; allow 20–40 minutes by public transport as a broad estimate, plus waiting and the onward walk. Verify the actual stop and timetable with reception. Spring and autumn suit sightseeing, with rain and high water possible. Bring comfortable shoes, rainwear and a secure day bag.
A relaxed two-night plan
Arrive with enough daylight to check the pitch and facilities. Keep the first evening close to camp, then spend the full day on lagoon views and Venetian heritage. Leave room for meals, weather changes and local transfers. Before departure, dispose of rubbish and wastewater in the proper facilities and confirm your next site’s arrival arrangements.
Source and tariff check: 16 October 2026. Published prices are reference checks, not live booking quotes or proof of availability. The quoted year and dates matter; do not carry a 2026 price into a later season. Confirm taxes, extras, services and the full amount directly with the operator. Distances and times are approximate planning estimates.
