This Seychelles camping guide links six selected island-area guides: Mahé, Praslin, La Digue, Silhouette, Curieuse and Aldabra. It explains documented nature visits and overnight arrangements without inventing independent tent sites. It is a selected-island series, not a claim to cover every island or administrative district.
Seychelles camping: six island-area guides
Use the cards to distinguish the main-island accommodation enquiries, protected-area day visits and remote Aldabra arrangements. The official tourism island overview supplies broader context; actual opening, transfers and reservations need direct confirmation.

Travel advice and entry planning
Checked October 28, 2026. Read the official UK Seychelles advisory and current entry and health information relevant to your route and nationality. The advisory was updated October 23 with Ebola-related entry measures, so do not rely on an older travel blog for eligibility.
The foreign ministry’s travel guidance requires accommodation booking confirmation for each stay as part of the travel-authorization process, with an invitation arrangement for visiting friends or family. The official electronic-border FAQ says overnight visitors must provide accommodation details and dates. A speculative plan to find a beach camp after arrival is not a substitute for those requirements. Confirm unusual accommodation arrangements with the competent authorities.
What camping was verified
No public bring-your-own-tent campground with a current complete tariff was verified in this package. That evidence limit is stated in each article. Hotels, furnished villas, conservation research facilities and ship-based stays are different products. Do not infer a nationwide legal rule from this research alone, or treat a day-use beach as overnight space.
Protected islands and overnight limits
Curieuse’s guide explains the parks authority’s tourist-accommodation restriction. Aldabra’s guide links SIF’s prior-authorization and ship-based accommodation requirements. Research stations should never be presented as public campsites. Confirm who controls the exact site and which permissions apply before considering any overnight alternative.
Nature-entry fees are separate
The Mahé, Praslin, La Digue and Curieuse articles include selected admission charges displayed by the responsible managers. These are dated activity references, not tent fees. Ask what your excursion or hotel quote includes and separate transport, guide, entry, equipment, meals and taxes. Check the visitor category and current price before payment.
Culture and dining
Victoria’s institutions and La Digue’s heritage research leads can complement nature visits when their current programmes are confirmed. Obtain consent in working community spaces and follow conduct rules in reserves. Do not collect natural material or assume that a conservation building is open to visitors.
Direct dining leads appear for Mahé, Praslin, La Digue and Silhouette. Curieuse meal arrangements must be confirmed with the excursion provider; Aldabra visitors need vessel catering. A hotel restaurant is not a campsite and may require reservations or restrict access for non-guests.
Season, transfers and practical preparation
Choose the exact island and activity before asking about weather, journey time and equipment. A forest walk, coastal outing and remote vessel itinerary have different requirements. Confirm the meeting point, baggage limits, return journey and disruption plan directly with the operator. Do not assume that an inter-island arrival automatically connects with a same-day excursion.
Use confirmed accommodation and exact trailheads or landings to calculate distances. Bring suitable footwear, rain and sun protection, a torch and planned drinking water for the authorized activity. Swimming conditions require their own current assessment. No motorhome camping or servicing network is established by these guides.
