Paphos camping planning starts with confirmed accommodation and a route that matches the places you want to visit. This guide focuses on Akamas, Neo Chorio and the Paphos coast, with nature, culture, food and practical overnight checks.

Paphos camping: a confirmed coastal option
Aphrodite Family Eco Camping is at Baths of Aphrodite, Neo Chorio, near Latchi and the Akamas landscape. It offers pitches and prepared accommodation; specify which you want. The operator lists showers with hot water, toilets, laundry, a mini-market and food service.
Verified 2026 camping prices
The 2026 tariff lists adults at €6 in period A and €7 in period B, plus €8 for a tent place with electricity. Car parking adds €4. Two adults with a tent and car therefore total €24 per night in A or €26 in B. A covers March 1–May 31 and September 14–November 30; B covers June 1–September 13. Public holidays use B prices. Weekends and period B have a two-night minimum. Reconfirm the final total and any booking-specific conditions.
The booking terms state that a reservation normally requires a 50% deposit, arrival is after 14:00 and departure by 11:00. Read the cancellation conditions before payment. Ask separately about campervan admission and dimensions; a caravan price does not establish access for every vehicle.
Nature: Akamas without an overloaded itinerary
The campsite describes its setting beside Akamas National Forest Park. Start with a local coastal outing around the Baths of Aphrodite area, then choose any longer walk according to weather, terrain and your experience. Carry your own water and stay on authorised routes. A track visible on a map is not confirmation that a hired vehicle may use it.
For a cultural day, visit the Archaeological Park of Kato Pafos, known for its ancient remains and mosaics. Allow it a separate half-day rather than trying to fit it between a long hike and an island transfer. Check admission, opening times and heat conditions before arrival.
Food and distances from your camping base
The campsite restaurant and snack bar provide breakfast, lunch and dinner options; the operator also describes local food. Confirm the current menu and service hours. Latchi is a useful nearby town stop for supplies and meals. From Neo Chorio’s coast to Kato Paphos, allow roughly 50–60 km and about 70–90 minutes each way as a planning estimate; check the exact route from your assigned pitch.
Polis campsite and free camping
Do not confuse Aphrodite’s private site with the municipal Polis camping area. Reporting dated August 11, 2026 described Polis as closed for redevelopment. Reopening was not verified for this guide, so it is not offered here as an available overnight base. No authorised free camping place was verified for this itinerary. Protected coast, picnic facilities and beach parking do not by themselves establish permission to sleep in a tent or vehicle.
Season and equipment
Consider spring or autumn for walks, while checking the actual forecast and campsite season. Summer outings require careful heat planning. Bring a sun hat, sturdy shoes, drinking water, a first-aid kit and secure food storage. Ask reception about current fire restrictions and authorised cooking arrangements.
Compare the other districts in our Cyprus camping guide. Book your overnight base before committing to a longer driving itinerary.
