Friuli-Venezia Giulia camping: nature and outdoor visits
Camping al Bosco describes a pinewood setting with direct beach access. Take a gentle coastal walk, keep to public paths and check tide, weather and swimming notices. A lagoon boat excursion requires separate planning and suitable conditions.
Established camping and published rates
The 2026 Al Bosco tariff for 24 April–30 June and 1 September–4 October lists €9 per adult, €12 for a tent pitch and €14 for a camper or caravan place per night. Two adults with a tent total €30, or €32 with a camper place, before the listed €0.80 adult tourist tax each. August adult rates rise to €12.50 and the tent place to €14. Ask about power, vehicle inclusion and the total for your party. Confirm touring season, sanitary facilities and reservations directly.
Free camping and permission
No specific free overnight campsite was verified for this itinerary. Use the established paid option above or confirm a designated alternative with its manager and local authorities. A beach, picnic spot, trailhead or ordinary car park is not proof of camping permission. Check local signs, protected-area rules and vehicle restrictions before stopping.
Culture and heritage
Visit the Basilica of Sant’Eufemia in old Grado. Check visiting times and respect religious services; combine it with a slow walk through the historic lanes.
Where to eat
Restaurant Al Bosco is within the campsite at Grado Pineta and serves Italian cuisine. The official tourism listing also welcomes external visitors. Check its seasonal menu and reservations.
Practical Friuli-Venezia Giulia camping information
Grado Pineta to old Grado is approximately 4–5 km and 10–15 minutes by car; cyclists should check the promenade route. Late spring and September are good starting options within the advertised season. Bring repellent, sun protection, walking shoes and a bicycle lock.
A relaxed two-night plan
Arrive with enough daylight to check the pitch and facilities. Keep the first evening close to camp, then spend the full day on pine shade, beaches and Grado heritage. Leave room for meals, weather changes and local transfers. Before departure, dispose of rubbish and wastewater in the proper facilities and confirm your next site’s arrival arrangements.
