This Carinthia camping guide combines Lake Millstatt scenery, a Döbriach camping base and local storytelling. Use the authorized base below for a regional stay with time for nature, local food and culture. All prices are in euros; research and published tariffs were checked on 16 October 2026.
Carinthia camping guide: nature and routes
Döbriach sits at the eastern end of Lake Millstatt, offering a useful starting point for water and walking days. The local tourism office introduces the village’s lakeside setting. Begin with a short signed shore walk and seek local advice before taking a higher mountain route. A swimming day depends on weather, water conditions and your ability; keep an ordinary walking option available.
Authorized camping and checked tariffs
Camping Brunner am See’s official 2026 tariff lists two-person stays from €43.50 in low season and €58.50 in high season. Low season is 1 January–1 July and 1 September–31 December. The lower-season components are €11.10 per person, €11.20 for an M standard pitch, €4.70 environmental contribution and €2.70 tourist tax per adult through 31 October. Tourist tax rises to €4 from 1 November. Electricity conditions depend on the pitch connection; 16 A pitches include 5 kWh daily, with excess charged separately. The address is Glanzerstrasse 108, 9873 Döbriach. Confirm length limits and applicable packages.
Confirm the complete charge for your party, equipment and dates before booking. Check reception times, pitch dimensions, seasonal services and any minimum stay. Published examples do not guarantee availability.
Free overnight camping
No specific free authorized overnight site has been verified for this itinerary. Use the established campsite, or confirm permission with the relevant local authority and landowner before choosing another location. A scenic parking area or picnic site does not by itself establish permission to camp.
Restaurant and local food
Restaurant Seefischer, Fischerweg 1, Döbriach, offers a bistro menu and evening dining with regional Alpe-Adria influences. Outside guests are asked to reserve. Check the current menu, prices and kitchen times; this is a planned restaurant visit rather than a meal included with camping.
Culture beyond the campsite
Sagamundo in Döbriach offers a cultural outing centred on regional stories and legends. Check opening dates and available languages before visiting. Combine it with the village rather than trying to add a long mountain hike to the same afternoon.
Practical itinerary and access
The campsite, restaurant and village attractions are within the Döbriach area; allow roughly 1–4 km and 5–15 minutes by car for local stops, or check a suitable walking route. Brunner advertises year-round opening, but confirm winter pitch services and arrival arrangements. Its tariff lists check-in 12:00–18:00. Use separate days for the lake, village culture and any higher excursion. Warm bedding and waterproof footwear remain useful outside summer.
Bring waterproof clothing, suitable walking shoes, water, warm bedding, a torch and an offline route map. Check weather and local notices before a longer outing. Use designated waste and wastewater facilities, respect quiet hours and follow current fire restrictions.
