Abruzzo camping can combine Adriatic beach time with the quieter natural corners of the Teramo coast. This itinerary uses Villa Rosa di Martinsicuro as its base; the region’s high mountains deserve a separate stay.

Abruzzo camping: nature and outdoor visits
Explore Martinsicuro’s coastal biotope on existing paths, keeping clear of protected dune vegetation. Pair a short nature walk with time on the waterfront. Allow one to two hours and take water and sun protection.
Established camping and published rates
Camping delle Rose, Lungomare Italia 76, Villa Rosa, publishes a 2026 tariff. For 15 May–27 June and 29 August–20 September, a normal pitch is €12 plus €5 per person per night. Two adults total €22, including one car, a tent or caravan and electricity; tourist tax is extra. For 8–22 August the same calculation is €19.40 + €12.30 twice = €44 before tax. Ask for the correct motorhome category, sanitary services and arrival arrangements when booking.
Free camping and permission
No specific free overnight campsite was verified for this itinerary. Use the established paid option above or confirm a designated alternative with its manager and local authorities. A beach, picnic spot, trailhead or ordinary car park is not proof of camping permission. Check local signs, protected-area rules and vehicle restrictions before stopping.
Culture and heritage
Visit the Tower of Charles V and Martinsicuro Antiquarium. Check the museum’s current opening days rather than assuming the tower can be entered at any time.
Where to eat
Chalet delle Rose on the Villa Rosa seafront offers a quick-restaurant option. Confirm its menu, service hours and exact location before leaving your pitch.
Practical Abruzzo camping information
Villa Rosa to central Martinsicuro is approximately 5 km and 10–15 minutes by car, depending on the starting point. May–June and September are useful coastal touring windows; confirm the campsite’s season directly. Bring shade, repellent and a warm layer for sea breezes.
A relaxed two-night plan
Arrive with enough daylight to check the pitch and facilities. Keep the first evening close to camp, then spend the full day on coastal nature and a historic watchtower. Leave room for meals, weather changes and local transfers. Before departure, dispose of rubbish and wastewater in the proper facilities and confirm your next site’s arrival arrangements.
Source and tariff check: 16 October 2026. Published prices are reference checks, not live booking quotes or proof of availability. The quoted year and dates matter; do not carry a 2026 price into a later season. Confirm taxes, extras, services and the full amount directly with the operator. Distances and times are approximate planning estimates.
