This HAX Force helmet review examines a full-face option for motorcycle camping and touring. The listing highlights a retractable sun visor, an ABS+PC shell and preparation for Bluetooth and Pinlock accessories. Fit, documentation and the cost of those extras deserve attention before purchase.
Know your size before buying: Measure your head circumference with a flexible tape and compare it with this exact model’s current size chart. Do not assume your usual size in another brand will fit. Check the fit when it arrives and request an exchange if it does not fit securely.

Check the DOT and ECE 22.06 claims
The seller states that the Force meets DOT and ECE 22.06 standards. We have not independently verified its approval documentation or tested its impact performance. Ask for clear photos of the actual helmet’s labels and documentation identifying the exact model and variant.
NHTSA explains that manufacturers self-certify DOT compliance; the agency does not grant advance helmet approval. Check the actual labels rather than relying only on the listing title. Also, confirm your destination’s requirements before international travel.
HAX Force size chart: measure first
The feature text gives the following head-circumference ranges in inches. Confirm the current manufacturer chart for the exact variant before ordering. Ask HAX for guidance if your measurement falls between the listed ranges.
| Size | Listed head circumference |
|---|---|
| Small | 21.5–22 in |
| Medium | 22.3–22.8 in |
| Large | 23–23.5 in |
| X-Large | 23.8–24.5 in |
| XX-Large | 24.8–25.2 in |
Try the helmet indoors with the strap secured as instructed. It should feel snug without painful pressure points and should not move freely when you turn your head. In addition, check cheek-pad contact, your field of view and any glasses you wear.
The seller advertises eyeglass compatibility, but frame shape and head shape affect the result. Therefore, assess your own glasses with the helmet and review the return policy before ordering. Do not choose a loose size simply to make room for accessories.
Dual visor system and Pinlock preparation
The advertised dual-visor layout consists of an outer shield and a retractable sun visor. It does not establish a second spare outer shield in the package. Confirm the exact shield supplied with your chosen finish and ask about replacements.
The listing explicitly says Pinlock accessories are sold separately. Confirm the compatible insert model for the actual shield before ordering one. Pinlock ready does not mean an insert is installed or included.
Follow the manual for visor and insert installation. Use the appropriate visor settings for visibility and lighting conditions. We have not tested optical quality, UV performance, fog resistance or scratch durability.
Bluetooth ready means extra equipment
The seller also describes the Force as Bluetooth ready, with accessories sold separately. Do not expect an included intercom, speakers, microphone or battery from that wording. Confirm compatibility with your chosen communication system before buying it.
Ask about speaker recesses and permitted mounting methods. Follow HAX instructions and avoid alterations to the shell or impact liner. Also, check that speakers do not create pressure points or change the fit.
Weight, liner and touring comfort
The specification field shows 4.6 lb, approximately 2.1 kg. Confirm the actual helmet weight in your size and whether that figure includes other items. This HAX Force helmet review does not treat the listing field as a verified riding measurement.
HAX advertises reduced wind resistance and noise, plus a removable breathable liner. However, we have not measured airflow, balance, wind noise or long-distance comfort. Follow the supplied care instructions and ask about replacement liners and cheek pads.
The listing also says a carrying case is included. Confirm its type and package contents with the seller. Protective storage should keep the helmet away from falls, moisture and exhaust heat.
Is the Force worth considering?
Riders seeking a full-face layout with an internal sun visor and accessory preparation may want to investigate the Force. Its practical value depends on secure fit, verifiable documentation and compatible extras. Include those extras when comparing the total setup cost.

Verdict: This HAX Force helmet review identifies useful advertised touring features. Measure first, verify labels and confirm actual weight and accessory compatibility. We cannot endorse its crash performance or all-day comfort without testing.
