Al Shahaniya camping: paid stays and price checks

Heenat Salma Farm documents furnished 40-square-metre tents with bathroom space and a private patio. Its lodge booking page showed booking temporarily unavailable when reviewed on 25 October 2026. It displayed bed-only package references of QAR 600 single and QAR 650 double. These are displayed references, not a bookable quote; confirm the unit, date, meals and present total directly.

Restaurants and food planning

Heenat Salma’s Artisanal Kitchen and farm hospitality information describes meals using seasonal farm produce. Ask whether a meal visit is available even if lodge booking is unavailable. Reserve food and accommodation separately when needed; do not assume every farm workshop, treatment or meal comes with a basic tent stay.

Culture and heritage

Richard Serra’s desert installation is an outdoor art destination near Zekreet. For another local cultural interest, investigate the Al Shahaniya Camel Racetrack and its current visitor programme. A scheduled sports venue and an outdoor artwork have different access requirements.

Al Shahaniya camping: free options and permits

No authorized free pitch with a confirmed stay limit was established for this selected plan. Check MECC’s seasonal camping requirements before arranging an independent stay. Do not interpret a public beach, picnic area or empty plot as permission to camp.

Access, distances and transport

Visit Qatar gives roughly 30 minutes from Doha West Bay to Heenat Salma as a general reference. That is not a route to Zekreet, and the farm should not be treated as a beachside camp. Calculate each leg from the confirmed property address. No current camp-to-artwork driving time or independent beach pitch allocation was verified.

Season, equipment and facilities

For outdoor comfort, consider the cooler part of the year and check the forecast before fixing dates. Bring sun protection, drinking water, a charged phone and suitable footwear. For any overnight booking, ask about toilets, potable water, electricity, waste disposal and emergency contact. Do not assume a car park has caravan hookups or a dump point. Keep cooking outside sleeping spaces and use only permitted barbecue areas.
