Dana camping has a documented managed option at Rummana, alongside guesthouse and ecolodge alternatives in the broader reserve landscape. This guide focuses on a supplied tent inquiry and reserve-authorized activities. It does not assume that a scenic valley or long-distance trail accepts unrestricted wild camping.

Official availability notice
Before travelling or reserving, investigate availability on the official Jordan tourism portal and the selected reserve or operator’s official page. Confirm whether the place is open, whether your overnight type is available, and what permits, seasonal or security restrictions apply. A place described here is not a confirmation of current access.

Nature and outdoor visits
The tourism board’s Dana and Feynan guide introduces the reserve’s landscapes and walking experiences. Ask RSCN which activity suits the weather, available time and fitness of your group. A long one-way route can require guiding and a separate return transfer.
Dana camping: documented overnight options
RSCN’s Rummana Campsite listing establishes a managed camping lead in Dana Biosphere Reserve. Confirm the operating season, supplied bedding, bathrooms, occupancy and transport to the actual campsite. Do not assume it accepts your own tent or a motorhome just because it offers tented accommodation.
Camping prices, rooms and booking totals
The official Dana sheet located is titled 2025 Rates. It distinguishes economy tents, guesthouse rooms, visitor categories, food and other charges. It also flags an additional Rummana entrance charge. Those details are a budgeting checklist, not a verified 2026 tariff; ask for the complete current quote.
Food and dining
The same dated RSCN document lists meals, including standard lunch or dinner and traditional Jordanian dishes such as mansaf and zarb. Confirm what the campsite actually serves for your dates, whether meals require advance ordering and what dietary needs can be accommodated. No historic menu price is presented as a live quote.
Museums, heritage and local culture
Dana Village can add local architectural and community context to a reserve stay. Use the official destination information and an appropriately arranged local visit. Respect homes and livelihoods; a village invitation is not a public campground allocation or permission to occupy an abandoned-looking building.
Routes, transport and access
The Dana Village entrance, Rummana campsite and Feynan side of the reserve are different meeting points. Do not choose a track based only on a generic Dana map pin. No live road time or trail-to-camp transfer was verified. Confirm any shuttle, guide and luggage arrangement before booking.
Free camping, season and equipment
No current authorized free overnight pitch with documented stay limits was verified for this selected route. Public access, a trail, a quiet beach or a picnic clearing does not establish camping permission. Ask the actual land manager before bringing your own equipment, and use confirmed accommodation if a lawful pitch cannot be established.
Choose an outdoor plan using current security instructions, forecast, daylight, heat and overnight temperatures. Carry suitable clothing, drinking water, sun protection, navigation and a first-aid kit for the actual activity. Canyon access requires its own weather and operator assessment; accommodation availability does not make a water trail safe or open.
