This Bukhara camping guide uses the historic city as a base for nature excursions. The realistic starting point is a registered guesthouse plus a prearranged outdoor visit, with any camping arranged separately.

Nature and outdoor visits

Jeyran is a wildlife-conservation destination near the Kagan–Karaulbazar road corridor. Contact the manager or a local operator for a visitor route and current access conditions. Tudakul can be an additional regional excursion, but verify the property location: tourism development there extends into Navoi Region.

Camping, paid stays and free options

No current public tent campground tariff or serviced motorhome pitch was verified in Bukhara Region. Stay in town unless an operator confirms a specific authorized overnight site. A government report describing construction of Jeyran visitor accommodation is not evidence that a campground is open.

No authorized free campsite with a published permit process and stay limit was verified for this guide. Do not treat picnic areas, roadside parking or open land as permission to spend the night. Obtain the land manager’s consent before pitching a tent.

Food and restaurants

The national tourism itinerary mentions Lyabi House restaurant by the Lyabi Hauz area. Confirm its current menu and hours for a city meal. Carry lunch and water for a conservation-area trip; no café inside Jeyran is verified here.

Culture beyond the campsite

Pair the Ark area, Poi-Kalyan and Sitorai Mohi Khosa with walks through Bukhara. Allow time for museums and craft workshops. Heritage courtyards and archaeological sites are sightseeing places, not camping areas.

Practical planning

Prefer spring or autumn for extended outdoor visits, and start early during hot periods. Ask the Jeyran manager for the correct entrance and transfer duration from your hotel; route estimates based only on the general reserve boundary can be misleading. Pack sun protection, closed shoes, binoculars and water.

For a car or motorhome, ask your host to confirm the access road, vehicle length limits, overnight parking permission, drinking water and waste disposal. A yurt booking does not automatically include a tent pitch or campervan space. Agree the price, meals, taxes, cancellation conditions and length of stay before travelling.

Check visitor registration before independent camping.
