This Adjara Georgia camping guide combines the Black Sea coast with an inland forest stay. Batumi and the Kintrishi valley serve different purposes: keep a coastal culture day separate from the time needed to reach and explore the protected landscape.
Nature and places to explore
Kintrishi’s visitor information identifies a shorter Tamar bridge route and a longer Lake Tbikeli outing. Obtain current trail advice before choosing between them. A named mountain route is not a promise of suitable weather or an easy drive.
Managed camping, prices and facilities
The previously reviewed Georgian-language Kintrishi tariff lists a camping place at 10 GEL per person, while the English page lists 5 GEL. The Georgian page could not be retrieved during the follow-up; confirm the applicable tariff, total and charging period. Tent rental was listed separately at 20 GEL per day in Georgian. Ask which toilets, water and shelter facilities operate at your chosen location. The agency says travel from Tskhemvani toward Khino requires an off-road vehicle; this is not confirmation that a motorhome can reach a pitch.
Free camping and permissions
No free site with verified permission and stay limits was established. Obtain authorization before pitching outside a managed area. A beach access point is not a confirmed overnight facility.
Restaurants and food stops
Restaurant Medea is listed in Batumi at 1 Egnate Ninoshvili, offering Georgian food. Treat dining there as part of the coastal visit rather than assuming it is close to a forest camp.
Museums and culture
Allow a separate heritage stop at Gonio-Apsarosi; check admission through the responsible attraction before arrival. The region’s cultural visits complement time in the forests.
Season, access and equipment
The official Kintrishi page places Tskhemvani visitor centre 24 km from the administration in Kobuleti. This is an access reference, not a campsite transfer time. Carry rain protection, traction footwear and dry storage. Confirm the last road section, weather, drinking water and onward transport before committing to a remote overnight.
